"Playing the Ponies." featuring: Adele Rafter; Linton De Wolfe
A few parodies at the opening, helped along greatly by a suggestive one on the intermarriage of chickens and ducks, or something to that effect, were the cause of some applause, but the real success of the act, as far as that success went, was due to the broken crockery, mostly smashed by Adele Rafter. Yorke and Adams in vaudeville were a singing and talking act. That is what they should be now. As such they would require less stage room, no company and NO crockery.
